My Dearest Friends and Family,
It brings me so much joy to announce my second mission trip to Africa. Zambia stole my heart last summer and each child’s sweet greeting left a crater in my soul. I love every compelling spirit that I was blessed to meet on my last adventure, and I am thrilled to be joining a team this summer. Global Fingerprints will be sending a team of college students to Kitwe, Zambia for 6 weeks on a mission’s trip called Trek7. For more information please visit their website at: go.efca.org/globalfingerprints. I am filled with excitement to use my spiritual gifts to write bios and take pictures of children who are so dear to my heart in hopes of giving them an opportunity for sponsorship and a chance at a more resourceful life.
My first request for your support is prayer, much like my last trip I know spiritual warfare will be a battle, but our God is sovereign. Please pray for health and safety, spiritual growth, comfort for my friends and family, a merciful love for each soul and for God’s miracles and healing to be tangible as I am led to serve others. Second, financially this trip will cost around $7,000 which includes airfare. Over the course of 8 months in 2014 I interned for my church in our children’s ministry department and in return they will be sponsoring $2,000 plus the airfare of this trip. Therefore, I need to fundraise about $1,500. I know that God will provide all of my needs for this trip and I encourage you to pray about supporting me financially with any size gift. You can donate online at the efca website I mentioned earlier. First, click the GIVE button, and designate the type as “other” and in the “other” box type “TREK7 Lexi Lucas”. You can also send a check to 901 E. 78th St. Minneapolis, MN 55420 with the notion of Lexi Lucas@TREK7. If you have any questions you can call me at 928-713-3815.
My close friend Shelby Rae Myers, who also joined me on last year’s trip will be coming along on this summer’s adventure as well. You can learn more about her heart for Africa and read updates on our trip by subscribing to her blog at: loveacrossthenation.blogspot.com I appreciate you being such a vital part of encouraging our brothers and sisters in Africa. Please follow my journey and receive pictures of the beautiful smiles that I will be sharing by subscribing to my blog called “YourAdmiring Daughter”. You can find it at: youradminringdaughter.blogspot.com.
Love,
Lexi
